The Islamia Faridiya College of Education was established in the year 2001, the need of a professional Teacher Education Institution in this hilly and educationally backward region for providing Teacher’s Training to the pupils concerned.
Presently the college is catering to the needs of prospective teachers belonging to Chenab Valley and also to the students coming from other states.
The College has a spacious campus with all the amenities like Canteen, Playfield, a Beautiful Lawn/ Garden, Clean drinking Water Outlet, Reading Room, Library, Computer Lab, Science Labs, First Aid, Girls Hostels, Games and sports Facility, Psychological Lab for the benefit of students.
Besides, providing regular instructional work. The college organizes Co-curricular activities like, NSS, Debates, Symposium, Workshops, and Special Lectures etc. for the harmonious development of the students.

The college is affiliated to the University of Jammu and is also recognized by UGC/ included under 2(f) of UGC Act.1956. It is also ISO: 9001-2008 certified for providing quality education to the students. There is an IQAC for ensuring, monitoring and enhancing / nurturing the quality in curriculum Transaction and student support services.
As Executive Officer Waqf /Chairman of college management /Trust to develop the infrastructure and human resources of the institution for enabling it to enhance and improve the quality parameters for the personal and Professional Development of stakeholders. I hope the graduates of the institution shall be equipped with the needed competencies to face the local, national and global challenges in nourishing younger generation entrusted with them.
